The totalland area of this institute is ten acres on which the present RCC building occupies 32,000 sft. and 50,000 sft is under construction. An ACC for workshop and electrical machines is under construction on 15,000 sft.
The present RCC building houses spacious classrooms, drawing hall, workshop and laboratories for computers, fuel and physics.
The library reflects the management's effort to motivate the students to acquire knowledge beyond their texts and keep abreast with the recent developments and happenings in the field of engineering and technology. Besides providing text books for all the years and various reference books, the library subscribes to national as well as International journals. Having a collection of 5,320 volumes, 850 titles and 26 journals this computerized library is soon going to become digital.
The seminar hall which is well - equipped with a modern and audio-visual system, has a capacity of 250 people. It not only provides a platform for the distinguished guests but also facilitates the students to share their views and ideas. In the presence of faculty and other batch mates they are encouraged to present papers in various 'science and technology’ related topics of their choice.
Less than a year of the inception, the management is contemplating to provide facilities – e-class room, e-learning and video – conference in the forthcoming years.
The computer centre has an adequate hardware and software to cater to the Univeristy's online systems of examination. It also has a LAN connection and Internet facilities which will be available to all shortly. As this is a non residential college both the students and the staff have to commute daily from various part of the city. To facilitate this college has its own buses running from 3 destinations - Ameerpet, BHEL and Kukatpally. |
