Each subject, practical, drawing, project is allotted certain credits. The student earns the credits allotted to each theory or practical, design or drawing subject or project on securing not less than 35% of marks in the end examination and a minimum of 40% of marks in sum total of internal evaluation & end examination taken together |

A student shall successfully complete all the I-year subjects from 3 regular consecutive examinations and 3 supplementary consecutive examinations of I year from the date of admission. If the student has failed to do so the student's hall forfeit the seat in the BTech course and the seat shall stand can stand cancelled |

A student shall be promoted from II year II semester to III year I semester only if the student fulfils academic requirement of 56 credits from one regular and one supplementary examinations of I year, and one regular examination of II year II semester irrespective of whether the candidate take the examination or not |

A student shall be promoted from III year to IV year only if he passes all the subjects of I year & fulfills the academic requirements of total 100 credits (including 56 credits of I year) from the examinations

A student shall earn all the 212 credits registered to get the BTech degree which means there is no provision for dropping of any subject or practical. Students are advised not to drop any examination in any subject to avoid delay in getting the degree |

Students who fail to earn all the 212 credits offered as indicated in the course structure within eight academic years from the year of their admission shall forfeit their seat in the course & their seat shall stand cancelled |
